By using Benshi ("the service," "we," "our") at benshi.app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Use of the service
Benshi is a film recommendation tool. You may use it for personal, non-commercial discovery of movies. You may not use it to scrape or harvest data at scale, circumvent rate limits, or for any unlawful purpose. We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access if we believe use violates these terms or harms the service.
Letterboxd
Benshi is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Letterboxd. When you link your Letterboxd username, we use only public information to improve your recommendations. You are responsible for complying with Letterboxd's terms and policies when using their data in connection with Benshi.
Movie data and ratings
Movie metadata and recommendations are powered by TMDb and other third-party sources. Ratings (e.g. IMDb, Metascore) are provided for convenience; we do not guarantee their accuracy or availability. Always verify important information from official sources.
Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is." We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Benshi.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes we may provide notice on the site.
